The great disadvantages in life is when student have academic success without being successful in life Many students graduate from school without a clue of what is success is all about. Well, you partly don't blame them because our present school system doesn't do much to prepare students for what real success is all about, I said having academic excellent does not guarantee a success, being a best student in your faculty even overall best does not make you a successful person in future.
From the view definition point of success, everyone have is own meaning of success, for some people success is a happy life and also Is a monetary or wealth maximization, the most straight point of view to majority people success is end result of what engaged on when resulted to best output (e.g. academic excellent).
But a quote says for every successful person in life, there must be a great influence behind. (Meaning that someone have contributed to that success direct or indirect)
So, I believe the best definition of success is ability to make positive impact in other life, success come when you make another person life change for good.
A successful person is person is someone that creates meaningful, purposeful fulfilling life for himself and uses it to make positive impact in other life
Academic excellent is just a reward of what you have memorize and reproduce it during the exam, if you have doubt about my article that having academic excellent make you successful person, you are getting it wrong, being top of your class does not necessary that you will be the top of the world, graduated as best finance student doesn’t mean you will make money than anyone else, seriously speaking prof. wole Soyinka was first African man won noble price why Dagote richer than him, folorusho alakija never attained any academic excellent yet she became African richest woman, the most painful part is that with all the professors ekiti state have yet ayodele fayose became their governor with HND holder
Don’t misconstrue me with all I have explain above, I didn’t mean pursuit academic excellent is not a good thing, my point is that it will be a great disadvantage having academic excellent without being a successful in future, if true definition of a successful person is when someone that create meaningful, purposeful fulfilling life for himself and use it to make positive impact in other life, the question is how many people have you make positive impact in their life, having this academic excellent without contribute to other life doesn’t not make you a successful person, a quote say what go around will surely come around, what you does today will surely affect tomorrow, if you are someone that always contribute to other life all what you are being looking for will surely come your way in double.
So, the main key to success is that anything you have, always try to use it make positive impact in other life that is true success.
